This is the real widget, exactly as your visitors will see it. Try a few letters.
Who uses it
Teachers add it to class pages for spelling and vocabulary practice. Students type a set of letters and see how many words they can build, longest first, which turns a list of letters into a quick game.
Puzzle and game blogs put it under posts about Scrabble, Words With Friends or word jumbles, so readers can check their own racks without leaving the page.
Libraries and clubs use it on pages for Scrabble clubs and word game nights, where a quick, ad-free checker is handy.
How to add it, step by step
- WordPress: edit the page, add a Custom HTML block and paste the code.
- Google Sites: choose Insert, then Embed, then Embed code, and paste it.
- Wix or Squarespace: add an Embed or Code element and paste it.
- Plain HTML: paste the line where you want the widget to appear.

Frequently asked questions
Is the widget really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no key and no limit on searches. We only ask that you keep the small credit line at the bottom of the widget.
Will it show ads on my site?
No. The widget contains no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It loads the word list from our server the first time someone searches, and the search itself runs in the visitor's browser.
Does it work with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and Google Sites?
Yes. Any site builder that lets you paste HTML or an embed code can show it. In WordPress, use a Custom HTML block. In Google Sites, choose Insert, then Embed, then Embed code.
Can I change the size?
Yes. Change the height value in the code to make it taller or shorter. The widget stretches to the width of its container up to 520 pixels, and it fits phone screens.
Which dictionary does it use?
The same 172,830 word ENABLE-based list as every tool on this site, so it agrees with our full unscrambler and Scrabble word finder.
